If only.

I hope you’re deep asleep. I’ve been awake for days, trying to study every inch of your body in this picture, from a distant day where I could safely say ‘Nothing in this world could tear me down in any way’. But like a dream you disappear- without a sound; without a trace. Sleep well, darling. Wherever you are, I hope that you’re happy tonight, and maybe you’ve found someone to love you right. Sleep well, darling. I’m desperate to say ‘Now I need you more than ever’, but all I could say was ‘Goodnight’.

things, people, smells, sights, sounds, tastes, even feelings/emotions with different memories and also seasons.
Like now for example. It’s nice out, and the open windows and the clean house remind me of summer ‘08 when I’d clean like crazy to get to go to a bunch of shows. It smells like summer, and summer reminds me of you. I miss you.
The way my mind works is quite odd, I know.
